Les Nouvelles Voix en Normandie
The winners of the Concours Corneille meet the heritage and public of Normandy

3rd edition: from July 12 to 28, 2026
Discover the treasures of Normandy’s heritage by sharing some of the finest pages of Baroque music, while promoting the professional integration of young artists. That’s the aim of this initiative by Le Poème Harmonique.
Candidates for the Concours Corneille – Concours international de chant baroque de Normandie – are among the best hopefuls of international baroque singing. Every two years, more than a hundred applications arrive from all over the world. The young singers selected come to Rouen at the end of September to compete in the Chapelle Corneille in front of an international jury of leading classical music professionals, artists and programmers.
At a time when the integration of artists is a major issue, the Nouvelles Voix en Normandie tour gives those at the dawn of a professional career the chance to perform as well as compete.
From now on, the winners of the Concours Corneille 2025 will be touring the treasures of Normandy’s heritage, far from the usual broadcasting networks, bringing the emotion of baroque music to everyone in unique places and inviting Normands to rediscover an exceptional heritage that is never far away.

An italian journey
Embark on an Italian Journey into the Heart of the Baroque, where music becomes the guiding thread of a charming escape. This program celebrates the greatest Italian composers—and those inspired by Italy—such as Handel, Scarlatti, and Caldara. Brilliant arias from Handel’s cantata Figlio d’alte speranze and his opera Teseo are complemented by the radiant poetry and pastoral lyricism of Caldara’s Selve amiche and Scarlatti’s Già il sole dal Gange. Let yourself be carried away on this musical journey, one that tells an Italian story through the language of music.

A Shepherd’s Tale
This program explores, in the manner of an intimate pastoral, the many transformations of love—from innocence to acceptance. Conceived as a subtle dramatic journey, it follows the seasons of the heart through a sensitive narrative in which French and English airs from the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries engage in a rich dialogue. From Guédron, Moulinié, and Dowland to Lambert, Purcell, and Le Camus, emotions evolve, deepen, and take on new shades of meaning. With delicate poetry, this pastoral cycle reveals both the fragility and the enduring nature of human feelings.
